The opening of this market will enable Uruguay to export annually 20 million dollars, benefiting 15.000 workers in this industry and a significant number of workers indirectly.
The United States Ambassador to Uruguay, Julissa Reynoso, described this agreement as “a high impact for the Uruguayan economy and a further step in the trade relations between Uruguay and United States, two countries that enjoy very close bilateral links”.
Ambassador Reynoso also highlighted that «this is an excellent example of what we can achieve if we work together and if we are committed to expand our trade relations”.
