Director of UNESCO visited a public School in Uruguay and appreciate the “Plan Ceibal” (OLPC Program)

As an initial activity of its agenda in Uruguay, the General Director of UNESCO, Irina Bokova visited the Public School “Grecia”, where she appreciate the Plan Ceibal (OLPC Program) implementation in Uruguay. The aim of her visit is to replicate the plan in other countries.

Bokova expressed a special interest for the work that the students make with their laptops. «This is a wonderful world where you have to keep learning,» she said, while also committed the support of UNESCO to promote culture, art, science and communication.
